Search used to mean a list of blue links. It now also means answers assembled by models. The labels change — SEO, GEO (generative engine optimisation), AIO (AI optimisation) — but the useful work underneath is stable: publish pages that explain a business clearly, keep them connected, and make them easy to fetch.
InstantSilo drafts that kind of library from a brief. It does not operate a knowledge graph, and it does not treat structured data as a secret requirement for AI search. The hub for this cluster is the content foundation.
What still matters for SEO
Fundamentals first:
- One URL per job, with a title and description that match the page.
- Headings that outline the argument a human would recognise.
- Internal links to related pages on the same site.
- Pages that are actually reachable (sitemap, no accidental
noindexon the public site). - Content a practitioner would send a customer, not a keyword stuffed around an empty claim.
InstantSilo can help with research, structure, drafts, metadata, and export. Indexing and ranking remain search-engine decisions. There is no switch in the studio that “turns SEO on.”
What GEO and AIO are not
GEO and AIO are marketing names for “can an answer engine quote or summarise this?” They are not a separate product InstantSilo sells, and they are not a reason to paste JSON-LD everywhere or to claim entity graphs the software does not build.
Things that usually help both classic search and answer engines:
- Accurate sentences about the offering and its limits.
- Stable URLs in a connected structure.
- An agent-readable index such as llms.txt on this site, plus Markdown alternatives for the main pages.
- The same review bar you would use for a human reader.
Things that are speculative, easy to overclaim, and not InstantSilo features:
- Guaranteed citations in ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar products.
- “AI-only” schema that replaces useful prose.
- Keyword volume figures presented as measured demand when they are estimates.
If a draft promises more traffic from “optimising for AI search,” cut the sentence.
How InstantSilo fits
The studio researches topics around your brief, proposes a silo, writes drafts, and exports WordPress, Markdown, JSON, or CSV. You publish on your own site. Search engines and models then see whatever you actually put on the network.
This /guides cluster is the experiment InstantSilo is running on its own domain: one edited silo, in a subdirectory, linked from the rest of the marketing site. Success is whether people and crawlers can understand the product. Rankings, if they move, will be measured later in Search Console. They are not assumed here.
A practical split
Use SEO language when you mean crawlable pages, titles, links, and usefulness.
Use GEO/AIO language only when you mean “write so a model could quote this without inventing features.” That is still editing. It is not a new ranking factor InstantSilo controls.
If you are choosing a next page, read how the structure is supposed to work or how links should behave. For the studio steps, use the workflow and docs.
